Meet the Artist
Award-winning artist Marc Potocsky of Branford, Connecticut honed his skills in photo realism and portrait painting to produce a collection of stunning works focused on music legends, sport heroes, landscapes, classic cars, pop culture characters and wildllife, among other subjects.
Marc’s many accomplishments and recognition include:
- Sports paintings for “Victory Fine Art” in Los Angeles, CA
- Commissioned work for VFA on the 50th Anniversary of the NFL Super Bowl
- Featured on “This Old House” and “Extreme Home Makeover” television shows
- Contributions to the newly-restored Yale University Art Gallery
Marc complements his fine art practice with a full-service decorative painting company in partnership with his son (see www.mjpfaux.com).
His decorative painting has been featured at the prestigious Salon International Gathering of Decorative Artists , as well as in trade and technique books like Mural Painting – Secrets for Success (Gary Lord, 2006) and Design Faux Finishes. He is a popular speaker, lecturing on decorative painting and murals at the University of New Haven.
One notable project was the commissioning for three paintings of the One World Center Freedom Tower commemorating the 9/11 attack in New York City.
